Since its opening in 1886, the Cincinnati Art Museum has been recognized for its outstanding collections. Located in Eden Park, at 953 Eden Park Dr., the museum is home to more than 60,000 works spanning 6,000 years, making it the largest collection in Ohio.
The art museum’s collection is a virtual treasure trove for any art enthusiast. From the ancient art of Egypt, Greece and Rome to works from the Near and Far East, Africa and the Americas; everything from costumes and textiles, prints, drawings, photographs, paintings, sculptures, and decorative and contemporary art are on display here.
The museum’s galleries house a veritable who’s who of art, including European masters, contemporary painters and American classics like Titian, Renoir and Wyeth, to name a few.
Located in scenic Eden Park, the Cincinnati Art Museum provides more than 100,000 works. Music performances, poetry readings, lectures and discussions round out its cultural offerings. Teacher programs and family-children's events are also available.
-Cincinnati Art Museum hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open to tour groups exclusively Tuesday through Friday, 9 to 11 a.m. Closed Mondays. Free general admission
